Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A Welsh tipper hire firm is being forced to wait for Ford Cargo parts because a supplier in Germany has gone out of business.

Gareth Jones of JCB Tipper Hire in Ebbw Vale, says he has had Ford Cargo 811s off the road since June waiting for replacement hydraulic pipes for their power steering pumps.

Local dealers have told him they will not be able to supply the parts until late September because Ford hasn't been able to find an alternative supplier for the pipe since the original German manufacturer went to the wall.

"I've got money sat out in the yard doing nothing," says Jones. "I'm being fobbed off and getting absolutely nowhere with Ford—I'm so frustrated."

Ford says: "Dealers will always make every effort to source a part for a customer, but there may inevitably be difficulties when the vehicle in question has not been produced for over a decade."
