Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Toby Clark • Last week Daf used the Trucks In Action event at its Eindhoven headquarters to announce its half-yearly results and show off a range of Daf and Leyland Trucks-built vehicles.

Chairman Cor Baan released first-half profits of NLG72.6m (28m)—up 85% on last year's figure. Turnover was up 42% to NLG1,316.4 (£506m), despite currency problems. Marketing Director Edo van den Assem announced Daf's plan to take 10% of the 6-15 tonne GVW market in Western Europe, and 12% of the sector over 15 tonnes: current figures are 8.2% and 8.9% respectively. Daf's registrations went up from 7,121 in the first six months of 1994 to 11,085 in the same period this year.

This is the second Trucks In Action; the first, two years ago, celebrated the survival of Oaf's manufacturing facilities after the company's collapse at the end of 1992. This one marked the opening of NLG90m (£35m) painting facilities in Eindhoven and Westerlo, with days devoted to specialist markets. Some 15,000 drivers are expected to attend before the event closes on 23 September, including 200 of the 1,000 Super Space Cab owners invited to a private barbecue at the weekend.
