RENAULT'S NEW UK boss. Thierry Lepercq, has admitted that the company is underperforming on customer service and sales in the light CV sector.

Lepercq, who joined Renault Truck in June, was speaking at a press event where he outlined his action plan for the company: "Currently we are not customerfocused enough in our outlook. It is my intention to be more customer focused:this is a central axle on which I want to grow this company."

Lepercq explained that he had been looking closely at the per formance of the dealer network: "We have a broad range of dealers offering different levels of service. I want to develop and improve the performance of our network." He added that the company would be looking for new partners. to "extend the footprint of the service offering" where appropriate.

In addition Lepercq said he would be looking for improvements in vehicle sales, particularly at the light duty end, where Renault competes with the Master and Mascott: -We are not gaining all the benefits we could from Master and Mascott. In Italy, France and Germany the product has a strong market presence, but that is not the case in the UK."
