• I would like to second Mr Parry's comments about drivers' unions (CM 7-13 October). I have been an HGV driver for more years than I like to remember.
Over the years! have driven for all sorts of companies. Most had unions, some didn't but I've never noticed drivers working harder or being more careful because they didn't have the protection of a union. Drivers and bosses can get on ok with a bit of good will, so why all this fuss about ending union agreements?
