Remarkable Increases in Receipts and Number of Passengers Carried.

THE statistics which have just been issued by the Paris Municipal Transport concern, known as the T.C.R.P., dealing with passengers carried and receipts during the second quarter of this year, show a very marked increase over the figures for the corresponding period of 1923. During April, May and June of this year over 154 million more passengers were carried on the various services of the T.C.R.P., maintained by buses, Seine steamers and trams. The returns for the three forms of transport are as follow:

Receipts Passengers. in Francs.

The omnibus service, which holds the record for passengers carried, is the one which runs from the Care Saint Lazare to the Care de Lyon. • This particular service, which is called the " A.K." line, carried 4,080,362 passengers during the second three months of this year, nearly one-ninth of the total number carried on the omnibuses in the whole of Paris The receipts of the "AK." line amounted to 1,690,024 francs.
