Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• ERF is now offering Trucksafe, a factory-fitted vehicle security package designed to meet and exceed the requirements of the British insurance industry's Vehicle Security Scheme.

Wiring for the system is built into the vehicle's loom making Trucksafe more effective than any retrofitted device, says ERE. System security is enhanced by the location of other components in areas only accessible during vehicle manufacture.

Developed in conjunction with Scorpion Vehicle Security, Trucksafe consists of a four-circuit immobiliser wired through the loom and operating various functions which prevent the vehicle being started and driven away.

The system is activated by a randomly encrypted smart key which can be reprogrammed as required. The vehicle is automatically armed and system status is indicated by an LED.

Other features include tamper warning, trailer disconnection protection and a range of additional options which allow the system to be tailored for special conditions.
