THE HIGH level of seat belt wearing since it became compulsory on January 31 has been maintained, according to estimates from the Department of Transport.
During March 95 per cent of drivers and front seat passengers wore belts in light vans and cars. This is a slight improvement on February's figures of 93 per cent.
