TONY FLEMING, born in Walsall, aged 33 and with a wife and two children, is the manager of the CFDC premises in Dover Eastern Docks.

The transport industry has been the keystone of his working life. Tony qualified for his HGV 1 in 1971 and then put in seven years driving through Western Europe. His last stint was with Uniload and he proudly displays a photograph in his office of his last rig, a Mercedes 1626.

In the late seventies, Tony left the road and became a spares manager with Barlow Motors in Birmingham. Tony joined the CFDC in late 1981 and is now responsible for both the Truck Shop and the members' office.
