Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An application by the Torbay Pool lerators for two new express licences was thdrawn from a public sitting last week ter the group had reached an agreement th the objectors, British Railways.

The Torbay Pool Operators were iplying for a licence to operate an express rvice between Bradford and Bournemouth Ed a feeder service from Halifax to irnsley to connect with the Bournemouth rvice. BR originally objected to the application on the grounds that the vehicle allowance, as applied for, would lead to an abstraction of its passengers. The Torbay Pool Operators, which is a consortium of coach operators who offer services to and around that area, had applied for a vehicle allowance of one vehicle on each licence and all duplicate vehicles that may be required to be taken from the Torbay Pool allocation.

After the applicants had agreed to have a vehicle allowance of one vehicle more per licence than originally applied for but to limit the number of duplicate vehicles, BR withdrew its objection.

It is now expected that the application will be granted by the chairman of the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners, Maj-Gen Sir John POtter, in chambers.
