nISCUSSING the value of co-partnership, or co-ownership, Mrs. Christine Taylor, Finst.T.A., referred lo the optimum size of undertakings. The 1953 Act was breaking down State road haulage so that once again there ought to be a happy relationship between proprietors and workers. But what of the time when, as a natural corollary to hard work, expan sion was visualized? Generally outside finance must be brought in, safeguarded by a working director, usually as chief accountant. In those circumstances, care must be taken that the awkward question, "Who is the real boss?" did not arise in the workers' minds. Was it here that co-ownership provided the happy solution?
