Exhibit_ :—Bus; two Vans ; one Van Chassis.

The exhibits of this company comprise : a 36-seated, double-deck omnibus ; a 3-ton delivery van ; a 3ocwt. delivery van ; and is iscwt. delivery van chassis. The sale of these vehicles is in the hands of T. Clitford-Earp, Limited.

The 36-seated omnibus has a 354oh.p., 4-cylinder, vertical engine with cylinders 42' inches diameter of the bore and with a piston-stroke of 51 inches. It develops the normal power at 850 r.p.m. The ignition is by high-tension coil and accumulator. The gear-box provides four forward speeds, of 31, q, 81, and 12m.p.h., and one speed reverse, and has a leather-faced cone clutch, which is lubricated. Expanding brakes are fitted on both countershaft and back wheels, which are 36 inches in diameter, the leaders being 32 inches in diameter.

The following are the principal dimensions of the chassis : total length, 19 feet i inch ; greatest width, 7 feet ; width over the frame, 3 feet 7e inches ; wheel-base, 12 feet 6 inches ; and wheel gauge, 6 feet 2 inches. The tare weight is about 4 tons.

The 3ocwt. vehicles have two-cylinder t4h.p. engines, with cylinders 44 inches in diameter, and a piston stroke of 51 inches ; they develop their normal power at t,200r.p.m. The general design of the vehicles is somewhat similar to the bus already briefly described, but there are only three speeds of 3, 7, and 14m.p.h. The diameters of the wheels are : leaders, 30 inches ; and drivers, 32 inches. The approximate dimensions. are : length, 13 feet ; width, 5 feet 8 inches ; wheel-base, 8 feet 6 inches ; and wheel-gauge, 4 feet 9 inches. The tare weight is about 7Cwt.

The t5cwt. vehicle has a two-cylinder engine, of to-12h.p. at 1,2oor.p.m. The

cylinders are 3i inches in diameter, with a piston-stroke of 4 inches. The wheel-base is 8 feet, and the wheelgauge is 4 feet 9 inches. The tare weight is 2tcwt.

All these chassis are chain driven, with Hans R-enold roller chains, to the road wheels, and they are fitted with honeycomb radiators. All have pressed steel channel frames, mounted on semi, elliptic springs. Steering is by screw and nut, combined with rack and segment,

There is a rather smart little natural wood body on this stand, built by Bayleys, Limited, which, besides being neat in appearance, has been turned out smartly by the makers in seven days.
