Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

VOSA HAS launched a twomonth project to explore ways to modernise and improve the service it provides to authorised testing facilities (ATFs).

Following a national forum held in February and a poll conducted last month with the operators of private testing sites, Vosa identified the key challenges facing ATFs, whittled down from a list of 400 suggestions, and is now seeking practical solutions to overcome them.

Vosa chief executive Alastair Peoples says: “At our recent ATF forum, Vosa was encouraged to hear that the feedback from ATFs and the wider industry reflected areas we had already identified for development, such as more flexible test periods and improvements to IT support.” A project team comprising seven vehicle inspectors based at Vosa’s Avonmouth testing station will work alongside six local ATFs, which have volunteered to take part in the trial.

Initiatives being worked on during the trial include a move to electronic recording of test results, rather than paper, the provision of support functions for its mobile workers and provision of more flexible testing slots.
