NO arrangements have yet been made for dealing with the transport of people to and from towns in Northern Ireland when 90 miles of railway track are closed from October 1.
The three lines to shut down are Portadown ArmaghTynan; Omagh Enniskillen-Newtownbutler; and Bundoran Junction-Belleek. Both Armagh and Enniskillen will then be entirely cut off from rail services, together with a number of villages.
Plans for dealing with railway staff who will be redundant have also to be made.
