Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

For all the glitz and glamour of the cab, the real star of the Navara is the enormously powerful lump below the bonnet. The hulking 3-litre V6 unit delivers 231hp and 550Nm of torque. That’s enough power to pull over an elephant or, in the real world, transport over a tonne and tow over 2,500kg. That’s not to say that the look and feel of the cab isn’t exceptional. Not only is it comfortable, the Navara also feels well-screwed together, and the only minor niggle we could identify was the plastic appearance of the steering wheel and its surrounding control stalks. Although fuel consumption figures are substantially lower than the 34.1mpg and 37.5mpg results recorded for the laden and unladen sections in the 2.5-litre Double Cab test – the latter of which is a sector best for vehicles we have tested – the chances are that were you to opt for this V6 model, it would earn its living working harder than lower powered models and the fuel penalty would be an accepted burden, which shouldn’t deter you from this entertaining and powerful off-roader.
