Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN EVENT is being set up to encourage more women into the road transport industry and to promote good practice.

The free conference, sponsored by theFreightTransportAssociation and Skills for Logistics, will feature seven women speakers, all of whom are deeply involved in the industry.

Among the speakers at the halfday conference, to be held near Warwick on 6 September, will be Beverley Bell. North Western TC; Anne Preston, chairman of Prestons of Potto; Nikki King, MD of Isuzu Truck (UK); and Hilary Devey, MD of Pall-Ex.

FTA chief executive Richard Turner says it is vital to encourage more women into the industry: "Events such as this will promote the positive image of women in the industry and help dispel negative preconceptions of the sector."
