Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

that these should have been fitted with a new type of reflector from July I this year. These trailers already have reflectors so is it necessary to fit the new type also?

AYour trailers must be fitted with the new type of triangular rear reflector. If the trailers were first used after July 1 1970 they should have been fitted from new. If they were first used before July 1 1970 they should have been fitted with them by the first of this month (July).

There is no need to remove the existing reflectors from your trailers but the new reflectors must be fitted in accordance with the regulations. That is with their lower edge not less than 15in. from the ground and their apex not more than 42in. from the ground. They must be at least 21in. apart, not more than 16in. from the outer edge of the trailer and not more than 30in. from the extreme rear of the trailer.

The new type of reflector must comply with BS AU 40 L111 or BS AU40 L111A and are required to be fitted to all goods trailers.
