Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

a varied fleet of specialist vehicles ployed on filming and recording for fete'ion. I believe that drivers of such vehicles e exempt from certain of the driver? hours ;ulations but I am not sure to what extent d under what circumstances they are empt. Can you give me details so I can rise the drivers accordingly?

k It is true that there is an exemption in the regulations covering drivers iployed on such work.

The exemption is from all the hours' guirements except the 10-hour maximum iving period which was originally granted .der the Drivers' Hours (Goods Vehicles) Iodifications) Order 1970 to drivers of ht goods vehicles (ie under 3.5 tons gross ited weight or under 30cwt unladen weight) gaged on certain specified duties. This ts extended from May 29 1971 to cover ivers of such vehicles used "solely in nnection with the carrying on by him or his employer of the business of cinemagraphy or of radio or television broadsting".

This exemption does not, however, apply drivers of goods vehicles which exceed zse weights. Such drivers must comply Ily with the general hours and records pirements.
