• Just published is Going Metric: Managers' Handbook, which puts Britain's switch to the metric system into perspective and provides answers to most of the metrication questions that managers are likely to ask.
After outlining the background to the change, the book (approved by the Metrication Board) sets out the metric system in a way that is easy to grasp and — most important — explains the relevance of the SI system of units.
The second part of the publication is devoted to detailed information about the SI units, symbols, conversions and how to calculate in metric terms.
