• A second order for Metro-Scania double-deckers has been placed — this time by Glasgow Corporation transport department. Glasgow is to take delivery in 1974 of 20 74-passenger two-entrance double-deck buses.
Merseyside PTE placed the first order for double-deck Metro-Scanias, which are currently under development by MetroCammell Weymann and the first prototype should enter experimental service next year.
Currently Glasgow Corporation operates some 1250 buses all of which are of British Leyland manufacture.
