TFIERE was good news for the shareholders of F. W. WHEATLEY

(TRAILERS). For the year that ended on October 31 the directors recommend a dividend of 25% (which is payable on a capital made larger by the acquisition of Barrett Packaging). This compares with the board's forecast of at least a maintained 20%. The payment will be made out of substantially increased earnings.

Group trading profit for the year amounted to £58,905 compared with £41,701 in respect of the same period a year ago. The statement points out that these profits include a seven months' contribution from Barrett Packaging and its subsidiary companies, although a full dividend is paid on the acquisition shares.

The cover for the dividend paid in respect of the 1965/6 trading period will, it is added, be greater when a full year's profits from Barrett Packaging is included in the parent's total.
