Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The And-Crash Fog RearGuard lamp.

ANEW lamp to supplement the standard rear lighting of vehicles in times of poor visibility has been introduced by Joseph Lucas Ltd. This is called the Anti-Crash Fog Rear-Guard lamp. It has a chromium-plated body and a red glass lens, measures 3 in. by 5 in. and is fitted with a 21W bulb and a balljoint mounting.

The lamp is designed for wiring into the existing rear light circuit, but is provided with an illuminated switch to warn the driver that he is showing an additional red light to the rear. Owing to the damage that would be caused to the lens of an ordinary rear lamp it is not possible to install 21W bulbs for continuous use.

Made by: Joseph Lucas Ltd., Great King Street, Birmingham. Price: £3 9s. 6d., complete with switch and cable.
