qv( Daimler Roadliner rear-engined single
deckers have been ordered by Darlington Corporation Transport for one-man bus services to be introduced at the end of this year. The buses will be fitted with 48-seat bodies by Chas. H. Roe Ltd., Leeds.
Specification of the new buses includes electrically-operated front-entrance and separate central-exit doors, and the buses will be powered by Cummins V6 diesel engines.
