DUE to commence today is a new threetimes-weekly roll-on/roll-off ferry service between Southampton and Rouen (France) to be operated by Wallenius Lines. Mann and Son (London) Ltd., UK general agents for Wallenius, announced this week that vessels will load at berth 49, Southampton Docks, for sailings every Monday, Wednesday and Friday; the return journey will commence from Rouen every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Freight rates for trailers, containers and fiats are 5s. per sq. ft. loaded and 3s. per sq. ft. empty, all rates being inclusive of wharfage at both ends. Quantity rebates on this service will

be as follows: between and £300, 2+ per cent; £301 and £.500, 5 per cent; £501 and £700, 71per cent; £701 and £900, 10 per cent; and £901 and over, 12+ per cent.
