Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Last week a Turkish haulage contractor visiting London phoned this office asking how to get a subscription to CM. We were of course pleased to tell him but less pleased when he developed a conversation to tell us of his haulage plans. He claims that, with the support of the Turkish government, there are plans to set up a container transfer terminal in or near Istanbul where all traffic

travelling to or from the Middle East would have to be transferred on to Turkish trailers.

An irreverent member of the staff suggested afterwards that the Turks must have got the idea from Hullarea dock hauliers. Seriously, although his claim is unsubstantiated, it suggests that a quick investigation by DoE and/or R HA would not come amiss.
