THE entire share capital of W“i_ns (Transport and Services)• Ltd. of Newport and its five subsidiary companies has been acquired by the United Transport Co. Ltd: of Chepstow, through its subsidiary company, Bulwark United Transport Ltd., for £775,000.

The Wynn Group of companies, which includes Robert Wynn arid Sons (Manchester) Ltd. is mainly engaged in the carriage of indivisible loads and the storage, dismantling and erection of industrial machinery but also has big interests in bulk liquid carriage.

The present directors and management are continuing to serve the Group within the new association, and Mr. D. Lloyd Jones, Mr. D. H. Foulds, Mr. G. A. H. Watts and Mr. J. Elliott Bown, of United Transport have been appointed

to the boards. • A spokesman for the Group told The Commercial Motor that, apart from the additional directors, and the fact that Mr. R. T. Wynn has now been appointed deputy chairman, there would be no change in the trading of the Group which operates approximately 200 vehicles:

THEproposals for a 4 per cent increase in Grade I haulage pay, with differentials maintained for other areas, will be published next week as Road Haulage Wages Order R.H.(77). There will then be the statutory 14 days for objections before the Council confirms proposals for the Minister's approval.
