Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DARCELS traffic is now being carried in collapsible cage pallets from the Southern Area of B.R.S. (Parcels), Ltd., based at Bournemouth, to destinations throughout the country. Customers make up pallet loads of about 15 cwt. each. Individual parcels need no elaborate packing and do not require to be labelled. The address label for the pallet covers the fastening and forms a seal. Split deliveries are avoided. No charge is made for the weight of the pallet. Mr. S. C.-G. White, area manager, believes that this new development holds great possibilities.

EXHAUSTIVE tests are being made by the Aeronautical Research Laboraiories, Melbourne, Australia, with a lightweight tanker semi-trailer which, with a capacity of 4,600 gal., can carry 600 gal, more payload than existing types milder current legislation in the State of Victoria. Special features include Franklin air suspension and plastics mudguards. The tractor is a Leyland Beaver with a I2-ft. 6-in. wheelbase.

NO SCHOLARS CONTRACTS SO BUSES WITHDRAWN

ABUS service to the Village of Sancton (Yorks) has again been withdrawn by Ideal Motor Services, Ltd., Market Weighton. Sancton is 300 yd. within a three-mile radius of Market Weighton Secondary School, and six parents were fined recently for keeping their children at home. They were protesting that those 300 yd. deprived them of free bus services for pupils. Ideal were granted a special dispensation by the Yorkshire Traffic Commissioners while negotiations went on with the education authorities, but it has now been decided that school contract tickets cannot be allowed on the route.
