Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TEWKESBURY HAULIER Edgwicks is warning of possible child fatalities if Gloucestershire County Council proceeds with its plan to introduce a cycle path within 3m of the company's depot.

Edgwicks director Martyn Milner says the company, based on aTewkesbury industrial estate, has over 300 vehicle movements a day in and out of the premises Gloucestershire County Council says the path is being built to provide a safer route to school for pupils atTewkesbury Comprehensive School but Milner warns that they will be at risk of being hit by trucks instead.

"I've been battling against this for five years but they are intent on pushing it through." says Milner. "If it does go ahead it is only a matter of time before a fatality happens A five-foot child standing up to 20 feet away on the passen ger side of the vehicle in a blind spot just can't be seen."

A spokeswoman for the council says: "11-ie county council is trying to find the safest route for children to get to school.

-This route has been looked at by police and safety experts and they agree it is the best possible route for these children."

Milner disagrees, arguing that the chosen route was the "lesser of two evils" from the options available.

The proposed cycle path will be built between Gannaway Lane and Northway Lane.
