Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Steel hauliers across the country are bracing themselves for further job cuts following the resignations last week of two directors at steel manufacturer Corus.

This has raised fears that plant closures will follow in the new year, as Corus promises a "radical" restructuring programme.

Two plants—Teesside, arid Llanwern near Newport in South Wales—are thought to be especially at risk.

Duncan Kiley, general manager at Llanelli-based Owens Road Services, one of Corus Group's leading hauliers, says he has longterm worries, but is staying positive.

Corus shed 4,500 jobs earlier this year.
