Commissioner Neil Kinnock wants Eastern European hauliers to be given easier access to Community countries. He wants more bilateral agreements as part of east/west integration.
• John Harrower, the Oldham owner-driver serving four years in a French prison for smuggling cannabis, will learn the result of his appeal next week.
