VOLVO Truck Corporation estimates it will deliver slightly fewer trucks this year than its record year of 1984 when the total was 42,200.
In Europe, it has increased its heavy truck market share in the first nine months of 1985. The best improvements were in Finland and Norway, but Volvo slipped back in its Swedish home market.
Volvo White increased its share of the USA heavy truck market by one percentage point to eight per cent; total heavy truck sales in the USA are running slightly below last year's.
In Australia the truck market is 40 per cent up.
