Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Wharton, managing director, has nude it plain that the Albion axle plant at Scotstoun, Glasgow, will continue only as long as its products are competitive in every respect with those available from outside suppliers.

In fact it has done so well that 59 million is to be spent on modernisation over the next two years to raise output to almost double the present 30,000 axles a year. This is, I suppose, some compensation for the loss of the tine old Albion vehicle, sacrificed to an ungrateful god of rationalisation.
