Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

KEN MACIVER, who resigned suddenly from the managing directorship of Leyland Bus in February, is back in the automotive industry as managing director of Lucas World Service.

Maciver, who is also a director of Joseph Lucas, Lucas Australia and Lucas New Zealand and a member of the Lucas executive board, has been in command of the World Service division for seven months, heading its servicing support and distribution activities.

He is an accountant by training who entered the motor industry in 1967 with Ford and joined British Leyland four years later. He became finance and systems director of the commercial vehicle division in 1978, a year before he took charge of the bus division.

Maciver resigned from Leyland after a reported clash with Land Rover-Leyland group management over the future organisation of the loss-making Leyland Bus business.
