Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Fiat has gone to every length to allow you to get comfortable in the Scudo, with a height adjustable seat and a rake and reach adjustable steering wheel, but drivers over 6ft tall will still feel cramped.

Small idiosyncrasies like rear doors that fold out ‘the wrong way’ and a handbrake on ‘the wrong side’ take a while to get used to but they do add character. However, the soft ride does little for driver feedback and fails to cushion you or your load over speed bumps and potholes.

For an engine of this size and power the Scudo’s economy is impressive, but for those that require full use of the 1,200kg payload it’s neither gutsy nor efficient enough.

The level of standard equipment at this price point on a Euro-5 vehicle – which includes air-conditioning and heated electric mirrors – is representative of the value found in the Fiat Professional range, but unlike Fiat’s latest International Van of the Year winner, the new Doblo Cargo, Fiat’s newest model no longer hits the right note.
