Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The York Dockspotter which allows semi-trailers to be shunted without the need to withdraw the landing legs has now been fitted with double-acting rams enabling the fifth-wheel coupling to be powered down as well as up. The total vertical travel of the coupling remains at 10in. A three-position switch spring loaded in the "off' position is mounted on a panel in the cab. Also incorporated in this ranel is the switch to control the airactuated unlocking of the fifthwheel coupling enabling semitrailer uncoupling without the driver leaving the cab.

Imposed kingpin loadings of up to 12 tons can be accepted. The complete unit with its base frame is designed for mounting on any tractor chassis and it weighs 460Ib.

Made by York Trailer Co Ltd, Corby, Northants.
