NORTH-WESTERN Licensir Authority Roy Hutchings ha refused an operator's app cation for a standar national licence because • its nominated transpo manager's previous record Mrs C. Sadler, trading as and S. Transport, of Radcliff had sought a licence for fh vehicles in possession with or to be acquired.
Mr Hutchings said tf nominated transport manag was a D. Sadler, who w thought to be Mrs Sadler's hu band. He held a certificate professional competence whi working for R. Kennedy, operator whose licence w revoked after he had been a judged bankrupt.
It had since come to light th Mr Sadler had been operatir the vehicle using the Kenner licence discs. They were only r covered after several visits I traffic examiners.
Neither the applicant nor P Sadler were present to offer al explanation, and the applicatic had to be refused, said P Hutchings.
