JOHN RAYMOND TRANSPORT has been given the go-ahead to base 15 vehicles and 30 trailers at the Howard Tenens facility on the Europa Industrial Park in Swindon, Wiltshire.

Conditions that have been attached to the licence include: ● no maintenance of the authorised vehicles/trailers is permitted at the operating centre except in the event of a breakdown or emergency beyond the control of the operator which could not be anticipated; ● reversing alarms to be switched off between 9.30pm and 7am but health and safety must not be impinged and the operator shall have a suitable system to ensure that remains the case; ● the authorised vehicles/trailers shall park with in a designated area called ‘Area D’ when not in use; ● there shall be no loading or unloading of the authorised vehicles and trailers at the operating centre. However, coupling/uncoupling of trailers is permitted; ● maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by a trade or similar independent organisation within 12 months of the application being granted, covering the irst nine months of operation. A copy of the report, together with a detailed account of the implementation of any recommendations, will be forwarded to the trafic area ofice on request; ● the authorised vehicles/trailers shall enter and exit the operating centre via Radway Road at all times.
