Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ADMINISTRATORS OF Brighouse-based Stansfield Transport are trying to set up a creditors' meeting for 27 October.

The West Yorkshire haulier went into administration on 19 August with the loss of 34 driving jobs and 11 office jobs. The company's operations manager blamed staff for setting up a rival firm and undercutting contracts worth i1.5m (CM 1 September).

It is understood that creditors will receive the administrators' proposals and information about debt levels this week. Drivers have made claims based on redundancy payments, pay in lieu of notice, wage arrears and holiday pay.

Begbies Traynor, joint adminis trator of Stansfield, has instructed Edward Symmons to offer the company's fleet of tractors, curtainsiders, rigids and trailers for sale by tender.

The vehicles can be viewed on 18 October at the firm's base on Arrnytage Road Industrial Estate in Brighouse. Tenders must be in by 10am on 20 October. Stansfield Transport's sister firm, MSD Distribution, and its parent company, Now Industries Group, are also in administration.

Another 40 jobs were lost at Essex-based MSD Distribution. The goodwill of MSD was acquired from the joint administrator and this operation is now trading as the Now Group.
