ews Transport is finding the loss of a nine-year-old Ford Cargo "painful" because the Luton-based company had plenty of work for the truck. It was taken between 21:00hrs on Tuesday 4 October and 04:45hrs the next day from Faulkner Vehicle Services at Markyate, Herts, where it was in for a minor repair. It was left in FV5's yard, which is floodlit and overlooked by several houses. The white unit, with a roof deflector, is registered B84 AMJ with chassis number SFABXXBCD BED48174. It has a vee-eight Cummins engine.

Thieves reversed through a fence to steal a high-roof panel van from Wokingham-based Mercedes-Benz dealer HTH Commercials. The white Mercedes-Benz 3100 demonstrator was taken on the night of 14/15 September. It is liveried with sales slogans about the model and registered M950 N6F, with chassis number 6024672P359951 and engine number 602940203725 14. It is fitted with bull bars and plywood interior panels.
