utgoing NFC chairman James Watson will retire in December, happy in the knowledge that the MAC challenge he launched this year to raise funds for the MacMillan Nurses is well on the way to meeting its March 1995 target of E250,000. More than £130,000 has been raised to date, with a further 2.6,650 chalked up after generously refreshed diners at the Institute of Logistics' annual dinner dug deep for the evening's raffle. Let's hope they saved the taxi fare home: night buses can prove a tad lively for tired and emotional industry bosses. NFC last supported the MacNurses in 1993, raising £50,000 toward their work heating cancer victims.
