Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Dutch convertor Estepe has produced an extra.high-roof conversion for the Volvo FH, marketed as the Supertrotter.

Estepe removes the standard steel FH roof and replaces it with a high-roof fibreglass top to give 2.05m of headroom over the engine cover (the factory-built high-roof Globetrotter has 1.5m); a cabin volume of

5.1m3 and

extra stowage space above the windscreen. The roof is extended forward over the windscreen to improve the standing headroom.

"The design is completely integrated with the aerodynamic lines of the Volvo FH cab," says Estepe's Jean-Claude Lucx. "An additional advantage is that spoilers are no longer necessary. We work closely with Volvo Netherlands, offering conversions for the FL and now the FII. There are no problems with Volvo and it does not affect the warranty."

Volvo has not tested the product and cannot give its approval but Estepe offers a warranty for the £3,500 conversion supplied direct from its factory at Heesch.
