• Lucas has designed a new preengaged starter motor to complete its 0/E heavy-duty range. The PE129 24V directly replaces the Delco 40142 MT and the Butec MS1 A/20 and /25 machines. and will be offered as part of the Lucas exchange programme.
Because the unit is new there will be no need to return the old one.
The starter meets the latest petrol regulation standard on insulation which makes it ideal for fuel-carrying vehicles and other insulated applications.
The motor has a rated output of 7.5kW and is sealed to prevent dirt, oil and water getting inside. Its also protected against damage by over-speeding and is claimed to perform well in temperatures from -20°C to +93°C.
