Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

TOYOTA has stepped into the British coach market with the launch of the Gaetano Optimo midi coach based on the Toyota Coaster chassis.

The 19-seater is to be sold directly by Toyota GB, which has appointed a coach sales manager and is providing service backup at selected dealers and at Caetano UK of Northampton.

The Optimo is to be built in Portugal on a Coaster assembled at Salvador Caetano's Over plant near Oporto. The steel-frame body is then added at the bodybuilder's main Gaya plant.

Many chassis components such as exhaust system, tyres and batteries are sourced in Portugal, hence the Optimo's classification as a Portuguese vehicle, and not one subject to the quota system for Japanese vehicles imported to Britain.

The Optimo is to be sold in DL and G1 versions with an Executive pack available to special order. The bodyshell is a similar square tube steelframed construction to that of full-size coach bodies.

Upper side panels are made of lightweight easy-to-replace aluminium. The soft interior trim is to large coach standards. Windows are bonded and alternate top sliders give extra ventilation.

A plug-type air-operated allglazed door is offered as stan dard with a jack-knife bus-type door available as an alternative.

The Coaster chassis is purpose designed as a light bus and is not a goods vehicle design.

It has been proved both in locally bodied chassis form and as a complete Toyota-bodied bus in many world markets and it offers a better standard of ride than many of its van-derived competitors.
