NEW group finance director with the National Freight Consortium is Hugh Mellor. He replaces J. V. Lewis, who joins NFC subsidiary Pickfords Removals as finance director.
Mr Mellor is also finance director of Special Traffics Group, which replaced the Pickfords Group in the recent NFC reorganisation.
A chartered accountant, Hugh Mellor joined NFC in 1973. He was appointed finance director of Tempo° International (now Tempco Union) in 1977, moving to BRS in 1978 as group financial controller. When NFC became a limited company in 1980 he was appointed NFC corporate treasurer. He obtained his Pickfords post in August 1982.
