I AM AN ex-serviceman, like a lot of people in road haulage, and I have spent a great deal of time and effort trying to get an artic unit to run to raise money for Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion. No-one appears to he that interested.
As an example, I spoke to one of the major manufacturers, and it said that to give me a second-hand vehicle would cost a grand total of £6,000 for the year. I doubt that, because it could be written off against tax.
Our serving forces who give so much deserve the support of people who can make a difference.
