A waste of space?

Ihave had a mixed reaction to my claim that most British drivers waste your money ("Are British drivers a waste of space? CM 23-29 Oct). Some drivers have reacted angrily, but I've had a lot of calls of support from other operators—even including some direct competitors.

I concede that there are some great British international drivers out there—the four that I employ are excellent—but I maintain that there are also a lot of idiots who spoil things for the rest.

Jam getting together with a number of those people who got in touch with me to draw up a blacklist of bad drivers—I've got about 15 names to contribute.

We're just protecting our backs We cannot afford to keep taking on unruly and unreliable drivers.

John Heads, Eurohaul, Middlesbrough.
