• Suffolk-based Stennett's Transport has just bought 15 Fruehauf tipping trailers, taking its fleet of agricultural bulk haulage artics to 58. The triaxle trailers have aluminium bathtub bodies and air suspension.

• Hydromech Systems of Bradford is now the UK sales agent for Fuhrmann steel side board panels, which are suitable for tipper bodies, tilts and trailers. The Austrian-made panels have rolled single-skinned steel sections with sealed joints. They are a standard fitting on Mercedes-Benz Unimog dropsides.

• Fiat has reduced the price of its Scudo vans by 2300, in line with Peugeot's Expert and Citroen's Dispatch. • Distribution group Securicor Omega has bought a further batch of MAN rig ids bodied by JC Payne of Walsall. Thirty 7.5-tanners on 8.163 chassis are joined by 18.224 17-tanners.
