the Road Haulage Association held its first national meeting last week and elected Mr. R. H. Barnett (Barnett Transporter Co., Rednal) as chairman. The two vice-chairmen elected were Mr. G. H. Colling (Silcock and Colling Ltd., Dagenham) and Mr. H. Eastwood (Dealers Deliveries Ltd., Luton).
The committee approved conditions of carriage which had been drawn up and recommended them for adoption by all car. transporter operators.
