THE old-established companies of I Burrows Transport Ltd., A & A Road Haulage Ltd., Signal Hauliers Ltd., Burrows Packing Ltd. and Burrows Airways and Shipping Ltd. have been bought by Cyprien-Fox Ltd., it was announced on Wednesday. The acquired companies operate as The Burrows Group from 34 Tower Hill, London, E.C.3, and Eastminster (Tower Hill) and from Mansell Street, London, E.1.

Mr. M. W. Harris, chairman and managing director, has retired from the Group for health reasons, his place being taken by Mr. R. A. Mulvey, chairman and managing director of the Cyprien-Fox Group which controls transport, warehousing, packing and display contracting companies. Mr. Harris will continue to operate Lawson Piggot Motors Ltd.

The Burrows companies will continue operating under Mr. P. A. Goodrum, director and general manager, and with existing personnel. Appointments will ha made from the Cyprien-Fox companies to the Burrows directorate and the first of these is the appointment of Mr. L. E. East, manming director of Cyprien-Fox (Transport) Ltd., to the boards of the Burrows transport companies.

The haulage concerns in the Burrows Group operate a total of about 12 vehicles on general goods work, including traffic handled by the group's air and shipping services.
