THE alleged illogical attitude of cer tain clergymen with regard to Sunday bus services was referred to by Mr. A. Henderson, chairman of the Southern Scotland Traffic Commissioners, at Glasgow, last week. An Ayrshire applicant sought authority to abandon a Sunday bus service, which, he said, was no longer required.

Mr. Henderson commented that ministers sometimes put the Commissioners in a difficult position by objecting to bus services bringing trippers into the district, and then asking for a service to their churches.

The application was granted.
