Like the 8x4 tipper, the chassis is of all bolted construction, built from 35-tonne/M2 yield strength steel. Mixer bodywork is by Imer, featuring an LT7OH drum with 7m3 capacity.
Comprehensive equipment includes a charge hopper with water inlet pipe, a pan chute with spillage flap and a manual chute jack. Water is held in a 280-litre bottom-fill tank complete with a level indicator. Ancillary equipment in this case includes a hydraulic chute lift and a slump meter.
A Strato T6 6x4 tractor unit will complete the Seddon Atkinson SED display. Like the other vehicles on show, this useful low-roof sleeper cab is derived from the current Iveco truck cab range.
Power comes from Iveco's 13-litre Cursor 13 engine rated at 440hp and driving through a ZF 16-speed Eurotronic automated manual transmission. Clutch actuation is fully automated and the ZF gearbox gives a choice of semi or fully automated gear shifts. In keeping with its heavy-duty specification, the Strato sports a 50-tonne/metre PM Crane behind the cab.
